Jordan, Italy discuss cooperation in police work, security

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Fadel Hmoud and Italian Ambassador Giovanni Brauzzi on Sunday discussed means to enhance cooperation between Jordan and Italy in police work and exchanging relevant training expertise.
Hmoud said that the PSD is open to the expertise of other countries, especially in the fields of security, police work and training, acknowledging their importance in developing the level of services provided to Jordanians and the Kingdom's guests, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For his part, Brauzzi referred to the "deep-rooted" relations between the two countries and expressed his country's appreciation for the Jordanian role in realising peace and security in the region.
