AMMAN — Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Wednesday launched a winter aid campaign targeting school students from Deir Alla and the northern Jordan Valley, through its “Clothing Bank” initiative, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Run in cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Commerce, the campaign distributed 317 winter cloth packages to students in two schools.
Further distributions will also be organised in the near future, to benefit other schools in the Kingdom with the aim of alleviating the burden of winter on students and their families.
Since its establishment in 2013, the “Clothing Bank” has provided assistance to more than one million people, with more than three million items of clothing being donated, according to Petra.
