AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) and Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) on Thursday launched a project for distributing food baskets during Ramadan.
The project aims at distributing some 41,000 food baskets to underprivileged Jordanian families and refugees in Palestinian refugee camps to meet their basic needs for two weeks, the JHCO said in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The statement added that the 41,595 parcels were purchased from the local market to support Jordanian traders who are experiencing economic challenges due to the coronavirus crisis.
