AMMAN — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Wednesday launched an initiative to provide safe caravans in the Zaatari Camp.

The project aims to provide housing solutions for 500 Syrian refugee families by replacing ageing caravans and accommodating the camp's growing population, which includes newlywed couples among its residents.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said that the initiative aims to mitigate the housing challenges faced by Syrian refugees in the Zaatari refugee camp.

KSrelief  Branch Director in Jordan Nayef Shammari added that the project is part of a comprehensive initiative by Saudi Arabia to address key areas such as food security, shelter, rehabilitation and healthcare.
