AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Monday dispatched a relief aid plane to Gaza Strip under Royal directives in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.

The IL-76 aircraft carries 45 tonnes of medical supplies to provide support to the people in the Gaza Strip, alleviating their difficult conditions due to the ongoing Israeli war in the region, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JAF stressed that sending the plane came as part of the efforts to stand by the people in Gaza, support the healthcare sector, and provide the necessary medical supplies for treatment services to patients, wounded, and affected individuals.

The plane departed this morning to Egypt/Al Arish Airport, preparing to send the aid overland to Gaza through Rafah crossing.
