India extends $2 million grant to Jordan

Indian Ambassador in Amman Shubhdarshini Tripathi hands the cheque of $2 million grant to Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury on Wednesday
AMMAN — Indian Ambassador to Jordan Shubhdarshini Tripathi handed over on Wednesday a cheque of $2 million grant to Jordan for humanitarian assistance, according to a statement by the embassy.
Fakhoury expressed his deep appreciation to the Indian government for the cash assistance to Jordan.
The minister expressed his gratitude for India’s contribution in Jordan’s capacity building and stressed keenness on strengthening bilateral relations, the statement, which was emailed to The Jordan Times, indicated Thursday.
