Grand mufti inaugurates Amman Alimony Fund office

AMMAN — The grand mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Abdul Kareem Khasawneh on Monday inaugurated the Office of the Alimony Fund in Amman, after the fund’s administration completed all legal and regulatory requirements for the start of the accreditation process, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
During the opening ceremony, Khasawneh said that the purpose of the Alimony Fund is to “help the beneficiaries of the alimony to receive their allocated amount of money in case the sentenced cannot provide the alimony because of incapability, absence, lack of knowledge of the address, or evasion”.
Khasawneh stressed that the fund will immediately begin to receive applications and issue its decisions in accordance with the fund’s regulations and instructions issued by its Board of Directors.
