AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss the fees of guest workers’ permits, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah, Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat and Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi attended the meeting. Hammad said the meeting aimed at finding measures to prevent guest workers from illegally moving between different sectors.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed the by-law on work permit fees and new measures to encourage Jordanians to work in certain sectors. They agreed on holding a meeting next week to continue discussing the by-law and refer the proposals to the Council of Ministers.
