AMMAN — Minister of State Salameh Neimat, who is acting minister of social development, on Sunday visited Ibrahim Shibli, a child who was physically abused by a worker at a care centre for persons with disabilities on Friday.
Neimat told the boy’s parents that the ministry will not be lenient with those who abuse children with disabilities, underlining the government’s efforts to ensure that such cases are not repeated.
He added that the necessary legal action will be taken to ensure the protection of these children.
