Ghezawi opens Mafraq Jordanian German Excellence Centre for Solar Energy

AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi on Saturday inaugurated the Jordanian German Excellence Centre for Solar Energy of the National for Employment and Training Company (NET) in Mafraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The centre was established in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), with the financial support of King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area and Orange Jordan.
Ghezawi said that it is part of the government’s plan to address poverty and unemployment by focusing on developing areas of vocational and technical training. He stressed the government’s keenness to establish specialised centres of excellence across the country, to answer the needs of the private sector.
The event was attended by HRH Princess Sana, Head of the Arab Authority for Renewable Energy higher steering committee, Royal Court Secretary General Yousef Issawi and German Ambassador to Jordan Birgitta Maria Siefker-Eberle.
