AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Sunday decided to suspend all works of employees who work outdoors during the peak heat hours, between 12 noon and 4pm, on Monday and Tuesday, in light of the heatwave affecting the Kingdom.
GAM has also provided workers with water and headgear to guarantee their safety, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
GAM tankers will spray water in several streets of the capital, particularly in downtown Amman, as a measure to ease the effects of the heatwave.
