Foreign minister discusses war on Gaza, regional developments with Malaysian counterpart

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Thursday made a phone call with his Malaysian counterpart Mohamad Hasan, during which they discussed the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, as well as Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
The two ministers also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to stop the violence and de-escalate the regional tension, highlighting the importance of intensifying humanitarian cooperation to deliver aid into Gaza, according to a ministry statement.
Safadi and Hasan also reiterated their commitment to boosting bilateral relations and boosting cooperation across various sectors.
They also underscored the crucial role of continued coordination within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to support Palestinian rights and address pressing regional and international challenges.
