Farmers urged to take precautions for frost

AMMAN — The Water Ministry and Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) on Tuesday called on citizens and farmers across the Kingdom to take all procedures necessary to protect their crops against frost, as well as to protect their water metres from freezing in light of the prevailing weather conditions.
The ministry, called on farmers and livestock breeders to take all the necessary precautions to prepare for the weather and the expected drop of temperatures to below zero, according to a ministry statement.
The ministry also urged citizens to stay away from low-lying areas and to cooperate with its personnel, in addition to not connecting their water spouts to sanitation networks.
