Exports to EU reach JD386m, imports fall 2.3% by November 2024

AMMAN — Jordan’s exports to the EU increased by 0.8 per cent by the end of November 2024, rising from JD383 million to JD386 million compared with the same period in 2023.

The Kingdom's imports from the EU decreased, dropping by 2.3 per cent to JD2.611 billion, down from JD2.673 billion during the same period last year, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Jordan’s trade deficit with the EU stood at around JD2.225 billion by the end of November 2024, a slight improvement from the JD2.290 billion recorded during the same period in 2023.

The total volume of trade between Jordan and the EU reached JD2.997 billion by the end of November 2024, a slight decline from JD3.056 billion during the same period in 2023.

The Netherlands emerged as the leading EU destination for Jordanian exports, with a total of JD80 million, reflecting a 9.6 per cent increase from JD73 million in 2023.

France remained Jordan’s top source for imports, with the total value of imports reaching over JD250 million, though this represented a 3.5 per cent decrease from JD259 million during the same period in 2023.
