AMMAN — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh has reviewed Jordan's efforts in the field of environmental protection, with regard to combating climate change. Participating in the 34th meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment, which kicked off on Friday in Oman, Radaideh highlighted the Kingdom's Economic Modernisation Vision and its focus on sustainability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He also referred to the global initiative launched by His Majesty King Abdullah during the climate conference, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh last year. On the sidelines of the meeting, the minister met with Abdullah Omari, head of Oman's Environment Authority, over means to implement the executive programme of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides in environmental protection.
