Ensour inaugurates mosque in Mahes

MAHES — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Friday inaugurated a mosque in Mahes.
At the inauguration, attended by Muslim and Christian dignitaries of Mahes, Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood highlighted the importance of preaching and educating people to do what is good, in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
The three-storey mosque, built on an area of around 1.2 dunums, includes a 450-square-metre praying area for male worshippers and a 150-square-metre area for women.
The mosque, built at the expense of a Jordanian benefactor, cost around JD400,000.
