Education Ministry launches clean-up campaign in schools across Jordan

AMMAN — The Ministry of Education will launch today the “Baladak Beitak” (your country is your home, in English) clean-up campaign across schools in the Kingdom.

The ministry sent a circular to all schools including special education, military and UNRWA schools, informing them of the commencement of the campaign, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Implementing the campaign in schools is part of the Education Ministry’s plan to cultivate students’ sense of national belonging and loyalty to the Hashemite leadership, in addition to promoting the importance of volunteer work and protecting the environment.

Campaign activities began today at 10am, according to the statement.

The ministry has requested that students submit written parental agreement allowing them to participate in the campaign.

It pointed to the importance of taking the necessary safety precautions and providing first aid equipment.

The Baladak Beitak campaign is implemented as a joint national effort among public and civil society institutions, as well as youth initiatives and commissions around the Kingdom.

The national clean-up initiative, also aimed at promoting an environmentally-friendly culture and civic engagement, was launched last month and will continue until the end of the year in Jordan.
