Digital Economy Ministry clarifies about use of Sanadjo

AMMAN — The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Thursday said that it has received information that some institutions ask their visitors to show the Sanadjo smart application upon their visits.
The ministry stressed in a statement that inspection is the duty of the institution. Citizens are only required to show their IDs, vaccination certificates, QR codes or a negative PCR test result.
Institutions willing to know more details about the process should contact the ministry.
As per Circular No. 46 of 2021, malls, shopping centres, banks, telecommunications companies, galleries, tourist and popular restaurants, cafes, hotels, offices of electricity distribution companies, and water companies, are obligated to prohibit the entry or stay of individuals unless their COVID vaccination is verified by the Sanad application.
