AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Friday attended the 116th Hashemite Scientific Council, taking place at the King Abdullah I Mosque’s cultural centre.
 
During the council, the first to be held this year with the theme of covering essential Hadiths (sayings by Prophet Muhammad) in Islam, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh held a discussion on Hadith with Secretary-General of Egypt’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Mohamed Al Bayoumi, according to a Royal Court statement. 
 
The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs holds the Hashemite Scientific Councils every Ramadan, hosting scholars and thought leaders from the Arab and Muslim world to discuss issues related to Islam.
Several senior officials and officers, as well as Muslim scholars attended the 116th Hashemite Scientific Council.
