Customs foil drug smuggling attempt at Ajloun post office

By JT - Apr 25,2017 - Last updated at Apr 25,2017

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department  personnel in the Ajloun post office has foiled an attempt to smuggle 2 kilogrammes of synthetic cannabis (locally known as joker), hidden in a package, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.

The customs employee responsible for inspection felt suspicious of the package — which came from an Arab country labelled as hookah flavour — and it turned out to be joker. The package was referred to the concerned authorities. Recently, customs at Irbid’s post office confiscated a package containing tramadol pills.
