Cabinet approves validating reasons for draft laws

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the validating reasons for an amended draft of the Public Security Law for the year 2023, concerning the appointment process for the Director General of Public Security.  It also includes amendments related to the public security personnel, ensuring their compliance with relevant legislation and guaranteeing equality and justice for all military personnel within the PSD and other military entities.

Moreover, the draft law regulates aspects such as unpaid study leave and secondment, among others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. In addition, the Council of Ministers approved the validating reasons for the draft Law related to aircraft grounded at airports for the year 2023, to be referred to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau for further steps. The Council of Ministers also approved the validating reasons for an amended draft of the Administrative Regulation Law of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission for the year 2023, which includes adding money laundering and abuse of power as corruption offenses.
