AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have arrested a number of suspected drug dealers in Amman, the Northern Badia region, Maan and Ramtha in the past 24 hours, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson.
In the first case, east of the capital, two suspected drug dealers were arrested during a raid. They were found in possession of 30 palm-sized sheets of hashish, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported quoting the PSD spokesperson.
In the Northern Badia region, the security force raided the house of a suspected drug dealer after confirming information about the storage of narcotic substances near the vicinity of the house. The suspect was arrested, and 12 palm-sized sheets of hashish, which were found inside a hole, were seized.
In Maan, a raid on the house of a suspected drug dealer resulted in his arrest, and AND personnel seized 3,000 narcotic pills and five palm-sized sheets of hashish.
Meanwhile, a security campaign in Ramtha resulted in the arrest of five suspected drug dealers. One of the suspects was found in possession of 1kg of crystal meth, 1,000 narcotic pills and a firearm.
