AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday met with a UN delegation, headed by Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, over the latest developments in the region and the best ways to achieve regional stability.
The meeting comes within the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) General Command's policy to boost military cooperation with other countries and relevant international organisations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two sides also discussed means to enhance cooperation, especially since JAF is a main supporter and contributor to UN peacekeeping operations and international law enforcement endeavours.
