AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday was briefed on border security monitoring using an integrated system of night and day cameras, radars and drones.
The trial, in cooperation with Anduril Industries, a US company specialised in border crossings surveillance, falls within the efforts of the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces to enhance the capabilities of the systems in the northern and eastern borders of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
During a visit to the King Abdullah II Air Base, a command affiliated with the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Huneiti was briefed on the armed forces trial of modern defence systems, including cameras, radars, and drones, to improve monitoring during difficult weather conditions, notably during foggy and dusty conditions, to detect ground targets, vehicles, people, drones and electronic interference systems.
