AMMAN — Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh on Tuesday virtually participated in the UNESCO-organised Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination 2022, held under the theme: "The Road towards a Rights-based Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic".
Shawarbeh, during the New Mexico-held event, referred to His Majesty King Abdullah's continuous directives to stakeholders at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) to stimulate sustainable development in the capital, and develop infrastructure in a way that serves residents without discrimination, and with full justice and transparency.
He added that Jordan is one of the largest refugee-host countries in the world, and that GAM seeks to provide public parks and open spaces that are accessible to all.
