AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture and Environment Ibrahim Shahahdeh and UAE Ambassador to Jordan Ahmad Balushi on Thursday discussed agricultural cooperation and preparations for the second iteration of the international dates festival scheduled for mid-October in Amman.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Shehadeh highlighted Jordanian-Emirati relations, which are built on “fraternity and continuous cooperation”.
He expressed gratitude for the UAE’s support towards establishing a laboratory to boost the growth of palm trees and a centre for packaging dates in the Jordan Valley region. The second international dates festival is backed by the UAE with the aim of promoting Jordanian dates to international markets, according to Petra.
