Agriculture minister, Amman Chamber of Commerce chief talk food security

AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khalid Hneifat on Monday met with Chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce Khalil Hajj Tawfiq and discussed issues related to providing quality foodstuffs, including meat and poultry at a reasonable price, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hneifat stressed the need to have an adequate food stock and follow up on food import procedures to overcome any obstacles, especially in light of the food crisis facing the world and the region.
Hajj Tawfiq praised the ministry’s efforts and cooperation with traders, stressing that this contributes to supporting the Kingdom’s food stock, guaranteeing the availability of products to people.
