5 COVID patients arrested for breaking home quarantine

AMMAN — Five coronavirus patients on Wednesday were arrested for breaking home quarantine rules, in violation of defence orders, according to the governors of Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Jerash.
The officials added that the violators have been transferred to field hospitals to complete the isolation period, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Inspection teams formed by local governors have followed up on COVID-19 patients under home quarantine, a procedure came in implementation of the defence orders issued to curb the spread of the pandemic, the governors added.
Once the quarantine period is over, the violators will face legal action, Petra added. Meanwhile, the governor of Aqaba announced that 330 COVID-19 patients are under home quarantine in Aqaba, noting that five violators have been arrested, to be referred to field hospitals at their own expense, Petra added.
