AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Thursday foiled an alleged attempt to smuggle drugs into the Kingdom across the northeastern border, a joint army and Public Security Department statement said, adding that a number of suspects escaped and one was arrested. Searching the suspect, AND personnel confiscated a bag containing 200,000 narcotic pills and referred him for further investigation.
