12-year-old boy drowns in King Abdullah Canal

AMMAN — A 12-year-old boy drowned in the King Abdullah Canal in the northern Jordan Valley on Tuesday, despite resuscitation attempts carried out by the Civil Defence Department personnel.
Director of Abu Obaidah Jarrah Hospital Muayad Shukour told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the young boy was pronounced dead upon hospital arrival, adding that and his body was transferred to the forensic medicine centre to determine the cause of death.
