Zain Jordan and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Jordan.
Under the MoU, the two parties will join efforts to advance gender equality, women’s empowerment and youth led initiatives by conducting several joint campaigns in the country.
“The partnership between UNFPA Country Office in Jordan and with Zain under the slogan of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment is both strategic and timely,” said UNFPA Jordan Head of Office Enshrah Ahmed.
Stemming from its commitment towards supporting local communities including the Jordanian youth, Zain in partnership with UNFPA will join hands to advance various options for young generation through education, capacity building for youth on life skills, innovative health tools and strengthening youth community engagement.
In addition the partnership will foster collaboration between Zain Innovation Campus and UNFPA Shababna (youth) network for the promotion of youth led innovative initiatives in Jordan.
