AMMAN — The results of the Tawjihi (General Secondary Education Certificate) winter session exam are expected to be announced in mid February, according to director of the education ministry’s examination department Fayez Saudi, who said the ministry has finished correcting papers in all but four subjects.

The department recorded 2,627 violations during the session, which ended on January 23, Saudi noted, adding that 289 of the students found to have committed violations, were issued warnings.

He said 1,680 were banned from sitting for one exam and 634 for the whole session.

Saudi added that 24 students were banned for two sessions and referred to court.
