The website Jordan Times is an independent news website owned by the Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai.” It provides news services, various topics, and the latest local, Arab, and international developments.
By browsing the website, you agree to comply with all stated terms and conditions. The Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Therefore, please review this page regularly to stay updated on any changes. The terms are as follows:
First: Website Content
- The content of Jordan Times, including text, images, videos, and interactive materials, may be copied, reproduced, or printed only with proper source citation or by placing a link to the source.
- You may not copy, modify, reproduce, publish, broadcast, or exploit any material on this website in any manner.
- Website content is intended for personal use only and not for commercial purposes. Any other use requires prior written approval from the Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai.”
- Some materials published on the website belong to third parties who hold rights to use and protect them (such as news and images from news agencies). The Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” may permit the use of such materials, except when used for commercial purposes, which requires prior approval from the foundation or directly from the third party.
Second: Website Use
The website must be used in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
- The Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” bears no legal responsibility for misuse of the website (directly or indirectly), its content, inability to access the site, or loss of part or all of the content for any reason.
- Al Rai newspaper offers a full newspaper subscription service (news, advertisements, obituaries, society, and tenders) through an annual subscription to the electronic PDF version costing 25 Jordanian dinars inside the Kingdom, 35 US dollars outside the Kingdom, 50 dinars for the printed Al Rai newspaper subscription, and 100 dinars for the Jordan Times newspaper subscription within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
- Payment can be made using credit cards through the website or by visiting the distribution department at the newspaper headquarters – Amman – Queen Rania Al Abdullah Street (University area), near Al Sahafa Tunnel – Phone: 5600800.
- Paid subscriptions cannot be canceled, and subscribers are not entitled to request a refund.
- The electronic PDF subscription covers only the daily issue and does not include archived electronic copies.
Third: External Links
The Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” aims to ensure that external links on the website, whether within articles or advertisements, are beneficial to readers.
Al Rai is not responsible for the content of those links or for any damage that may result from accessing them.
Fourth: Comments and Interactive Tools
Subscribers to Jordan Times must maintain the confidentiality of their account information (password and username) and are fully responsible for all activities conducted using them. They must notify the foundation of any unauthorized use or any breach of account or website security.
The website allows users to interact (upload files, comment on articles, communicate, send messages, etc.), known as “interactive tools.” Users who utilize these interactive tools agree in advance to the following conditions:

- Not to defame, insult, harass, threaten, or violate others’ legal rights.
- Not to publish or distribute materials, information, or links that violate others’ rights, are pornographic, obscene, inappropriate, prohibited, or illegal.
- Users alone bare responsibility for publishing or distributing materials, links, information, or opinions that incite violence, sectarianism, disrespect religions, or insult national symbols and values.
- Not to send spam emails to anyone.
- Not to upload or attach files containing viruses, corrupted files, or similar malicious software that may damage another person’s computer system.
- Users acknowledge that participation through interactive tools is public communication and not private.
- The Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” reserves the right to edit or delete any posts that do not comply with these terms, with or without cause.
Fifth: Other Terms
The above terms take effect from the moment you enter the website. If you do not agree with all or part of them, the Jordan Press Foundation “Al Rai” bears no responsibility.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, particularly the Electronic Transactions Law and any amendments to it. The Palace of Justice in Amman is the competent judicial authority to review any disputes arising under these terms.
