Princess Muna attends launch of int’l nursing society in Jordan

AMMAN — HRH Princess Muna on Monday attended the launch of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing (STTI) in Jordan at the University of Jordan (UJ).

Founded in 1922, STTI has more than 360,000 members in 490 chapters in around 90 countries, and seeks to support the professional development of nurses around the world, according to the dean of UJ’s nursing faculty, Fatheieh Abumughli.

She noted that the Jordanian branch is the second to be opened in the Middle East after Lebanon, stressing the significance of the step in supporting nurses and encouraging scientific research in the field.
