AMMAN — Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan Petter Olberg on Wednesday visited the Cyber City complex housing Syrian refugees in the northern Ramtha District. Olberg was accompanied by Muna Mohammed Idris, assistant representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Jordan.
The delegation discussed the services provided to Syrians with UN and NGO partners there, according to a UNFPA statement.
Olberg commended Jordan’s hospitality in receiving displaced Syrians.
“Norway fully supports Jordan, both politically and financially, through UN organisations and the regional response plan for Syria,” the statement quoted him as saying.
Idris also praised Jordan’s efforts to help the Syrians in need.
