TAGEPEDIA content reaches 1.2 million entries

AMMAN — Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group (TAG-Org), on Wednesday announced that the Arabic content of “Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Digital Encyclopaedia” (TAGEPEDIA) exceeded 1.2 million entries, according to a statement released on Wednesday. He added that the content will reach up to two million entries by the end of 2017.

Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the launch of TAGEPEDIA will help in improving the ranking of the Arabic language on the Internet to become one of the top four instead of its current 13th position.

He added that the digital content is “documented and reviewed and does not offend any party, religion, or culture, differentiating it from the Arabic content on Wikipedia in terms of quantity and quality”, according to the statement.
