KARAK — Residents of Al Mazar Al Janoubi in Karak on Friday organised a solidarity sit-in in support of the people of the Gaza Strip.
Protesters called for an immediate end to the Israeli war, emphasising that its repercussions extend far beyond loss of life and physical destruction, adding that hunger, deprivation of basic human rights and restricted access to humanitarian aid have exacerbated the crisis in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Participants also condemned the war crimes against Palestinians and highlighted the urgent need for continued support and humanitarian initiatives.
The participants also emphasised that they will continue their peaceful solidarity marches with the people of Gaza, advocating for their legitimate demands to defend their land and stop the "brutal" war waged by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip.
They also noted that the war has sparked a global shift in public opinion, challenging the longstanding Zionist narrative and prompting calls for an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
