AMMAN — Jordan puts forth all its capabilities to help Iraq resume its security and stability, Senate President Faisal Fayez said on Wednesday. During his meeting with an Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Hassan Al Kaabi, Fayez expressed appreciation of Baghdad’s supportive stance towards Amman.
Fayez stressed that Jordan’s interest lies in Iraq’s security and stability. He also voiced the Kingdom’s rejection of any interference in the Gulf country’s affairs, expressing keenness on building bilateral ties, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Talks also highlighted the importance of the recent Baghdad-held trilateral summit to achieve strategic integration between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
Kaabi valued the Kingdom’s efforts to support Iraq and noted that its resources alone cannot achieve the desired comprehensive sustainable development. Kaabi stressed the need for partners and common goals to serve Arab interests.
