Royal Medical Services surgical team treats wounded in Gaza Strip

AMMAN — Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, and following the recommendation of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Mahmoud Freihat, a specialised team of surgeons from the Royal Medical Services (RMS) on Saturday conducted several complex surgeries at the Health Ministry Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

“Several surgeries have been conducted for a number of wounded and injured, including orthopaedic surgery, arterial surgery and plastic surgery,” said senior anaesthesiologist and intensive care physician, Jamal Rahaima, adding that the most serious cases will be transferred to the Jordanian field hospital “Gaza 53” while critical and difficult cases will be transferred to the RMS.
