King visits army general command

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Wednesday visited the General Command of the JAF.

King Abdullah was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti.

His Majesty met with Huneiti and was briefed on a number of operational, training and logistical issues concerning the JAF, as well as on the progress of implementing various plans, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King commended the readiness of JAF units and formations, voicing pride in their personnel’s efforts and advanced level in terms of training, armament and equipment, the statement said.
