AMMAN — Jordan and Singapore on Wednesday signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and tax evasion.
Finance Minister Mohamad Al-Ississ, who signed the agreement on behalf of the government, stressed that the agreement aims to create an investment-attractive environment, exchange information and facilitate the transfer of capital, in addition to sparing revenues made in either country from taxation in the other and stopping tax evasion, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister also expressed hope for the agreement, which was also signed by Singapore’s Finance Minister Indranee Rajah, to contribute to strengthening economic activities between the two countries, according to Petra.
