AMMAN — The Kingdom will host a meeting on Sunday for Syria’s neighbours to discuss practical mechanisms for cooperation in combating terrorism, drug and weapon trafficking and other shared challenges.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufyan Qudah said that the meeting will focus on ways to support the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their country on foundations that ensure its unity, sovereignty, security and stability.
The meeting will also discuss the voluntary return of Syrian refugees, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
Qudah said that foreign ministers, defence ministers, heads of the armed forces, and intelligence agency directors from Jordan, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon will be participating in the meeting.
