AMMAN — EY Jordan on Wednesday announced the finalists in the 2016 Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award, held annually under Royal patronage.

Nine finalists representing five companies have been shortlisted for the award, EY Jordan said in a statement, adding that all competitors had “helped shape market trends, create jobs and contribute to socio-economic advancement in the Kingdom”.

An independent judging panel will select a winner based on entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance, strategic direction, innovation, global impact and personal integrity and influence, EY Jordan said.

The winner will be announced at an award ceremony next Wednesday, and will go on to represent Jordan at the World Entrepreneur of the Year event in Monte Carlo in June.

The finalists are Hussam Hammo of Tamatem Inc.; Kameel Al Nims and Ghassan Al Nims of HygEx; Muhannad Ebwini of HyperPay; Muhannad Taslaq, Baha Abu Nojaim and Micheal Makdah of Mixed Dimensions; and Rama Kayyali Jardaneh and Lamia Tabaa Bibi of Little Thinking Minds.
