Conference raises environmental awareness

AMMAN — The Environment Ministry, in partnership with the Education Ministry, on Tuesday held a conference in Irbid’s Taibeh District on the importance of combating littering, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The conference, attended by representatives of several local community and governmental institutions, aims at raising environmental awareness in coordination with municipal councils. It also discussed ways to curb violations against forests, protect water resources against pollution and plant more trees.
