Cabinet reappoints Hiyari as EMRC chief

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Monday decided to renew Farouq Hiyari’s appointment as the chief commissioner of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) for another four years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hiyari has been the chief commissioner of the EMRC since its establishment in April 2014, after the commissions of electricity regulation and nuclear regulation and the regulatory side of the natural resources authority were merged.
