AMMAN — Royal Jordanian Air Force pilot First Lt. Adnan Nabas on Friday night arrived at Marka Military Airport after surviving his F16 crash in Saudi Arabia, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Nabas’ plane crashed during a mission that is part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition against Houthi militants in Yemen, an official source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Friday. The pilot ejected and parachuted safely inside Saudi territory, the source added.
A Saudi military plane carried Nabas back to Jordan, were he was received by senior officers. JAF thanked the Saudi army for providing all the necessary care for the Jordanian pilot and facilitating his return to the Kingdom.
