Amman Rotana Hotel on Wednesday hosted the local organisers of the upcoming Women’s World Cup in Jordan as well as representatives of local and regional media outlets.

The event, which also featured the tournament’s official mascot (Aseela), marked the start of the countdown to the international tournament that will kick off in 50 days.

Amman Rotana Hotel will host several international delegations that will take part in the under 17 World Cup that will be held in Amman between September 30 and October 22.

“We are very grateful for the effort you have exerted to host this international event which was a catalyst for showcasing Jordan’s security in a region rife with conflict. This event also managed to put the Kingdom on the world’s tourism and sports map,” Amman Rotana’s General Manager Atieh Hamarneh said during the ceremony.
