AMMAN — The Ministry of Health will start using liquefied gas in its hospitals instead of diesel, which is expected to save the ministry JD40,000-JD50,000 annually.
During a visit on Monday to Totanji Hospital in Sahab, where the move to liquefied gas has been implemented, Health Minister Abdul Latif Wreikat said the move is meant to reduce energy consumption and to protect the environment.
The ministry will cooperate with the local company National Gas, which implemented the project at Totanji Hospital, to apply it in other hospitals.
