AMMAN — The Jordan Bar Association (JBA) on Tuesday said its members will hold one-hour work stoppages every day, in protest against floating fuel prices.

JBA President Mazen Irsheidat said the bar will resort to escalatory measures in the coming days to stop the government from “settling its budget deficit with the people’s money”.

Meanwhile, the Jordan Medical Association warned that lifting fuel subsidies will lead to a hike in prices and increase medical bills, which will worsen Jordanians’ economic and social situation.
