MAFRAQ — Jordan will open a camp for Syrians seeking refuge in the Kingdom, in the Ribaa Al Sarhan area in Mafraq at the end of this week, Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) Secretary General Ahmad Amyan said on Sunday.

Infrastructure work has been completed at the 30-dunum camp, which has also been supplied with water and electricity services, he said.

According to Amyan, the camp’s opening has been delayed due to the lack of health and medical services, which will be made available in the next two days.

Over the past few months, JHCO rented houses in Mafraq to accommodate 700 Syrian families who fled their as a result of the increasing violence there.
